I'm a tutor based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have my bachelor's in chemical engineering degree from Lehigh University and have also continued taking university-level courses in fields like statistics, biology, and veterinary medicine to enhance my knowledge in my adult life. I'm extremely passionate about math and science, and love teaching what I know to other people. I started working with other students in high school and haven't stopped since. I've worked as a summer camp counselor where I taught children from ages 8 to 16, some of whom had special needs. I'm also a mother, which has allowed me to reinforce my belief in the need for patience while teaching as well as the importance of education in general. I'm currently finishing up my graduate coursework in secondary education, with the goal of eventually becoming a full-time math teacher. When tutoring, I seek to understand each student's individual needs and develop a targeted learning plan that works for them. I am passionate about helping my students find their own breakthrough moment, and can empathize with students who don't understand everything right away. I want my students to leave our tutoring sessions feeling confident and ambitious. I hope I get the opportunity to work with you!
